MuscleTech Network, at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital

29/06/2011

Sport positive effects are widely known. However, the correct application of treatment protocols in injuries, the promotion of healthy practice of exercise and muscular pain treatment are less popular aspects. The Catalan scientist-medical community of this field, more precisely of the skeletal muscle and tendons, are now promoting a new research strategy and integration as well as education through the MuscleTech Network project.

MuscleTech Network is a knowledge network in the field of skeletal muscle and tendons promoted by the Foundation FC Barcelona and Leitat Technological Center, with the support of the General Secretary's Office for Sport of the Government of Catalonia, and formed by research groups and centres related to this area.

Ramon Canal, director of the Medical Services of the Barcelona FC, and Francesc X. Roca, coordinator of MuscleTech Network, will make a presentation on this subject next 28th June, at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital with the collaboration of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHRI).

Next month of September, the third MuscleTech Network Workshop will take place within the program of activities of the International Center for Scientific Debate (ICSD). For further information of the former edition click here.
