Jesús Rodríguez-Baño

Prof. Jesús Rodríguez-Baño, PhD, MD, FESCMID is Head of the Infectious Diseases Division at Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena, Professor of Medicine at the University of Seville, and Chair of the Spanish Network for Research in Infectious Diseases (REIPI). He is current President of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). He is author of more than 300 peer-reviewed articles, leads or partner several European research projects and is Associate-Editor of Clinical Microbiology and Infection; his areas of interest include antimicrobial resistance (clinical epidemiology, control and treatment) and healthcare-associated infections.
